Sonshine Beach Club is designed with the needs of families in mind.  Our program provides a positive way for your children to reinforce their learning experience throughout the summer.  You may sign up for all seven weeks, for one week or for two or more days at a time.

Registration and Tuition Fees

A $75.00 NON-REFUNDABLE REGISTRATION FEE IS REQUIRED FOR EACH STUDENTEach child will receive a camp t-shirt to wear on all field trips.  Additional shirts available for $10.00.  Vistors are $10.00.

Hours:  7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Program begins at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 2:45 p.m. 

Fees:  5 days - $150.00; with extended care $170.00

4 days - $140.00; with extended care $160.00

3 days - $110.00; with extended care $130.00

Students may not enroll for fewer than 3 days a week

*  Field trips are included in tuition

Payments:  summer camp is divided in four pay periods – First week paid with registration; Weeks 2 & 3 payment due by June 20thweeks 4 & 5  payment due by July 3rd

Weeks 6 & 7  payment due by July 18th.

 

Discounts:  (5 day camp only) 20% ($120.00; $136.00 with extended care) for second child

                                                  30% ($105.00; $119.00 with extended care) for third child

Days:  students coming for fewer than 5 days a week must keep the same days each week within that period and may not switch days.  You may add and pay for an extra day ($50.00) if class load permits.

Holidays:  tuition is the same for weeks containing holidays.

Absence:  no reduction in tuition will be given for other than a full calendar week and only then if the camp director is given a two-week written notice of a change in schedule.

Field Trips

 

Bus transportation will be used for all trips that are not within walking distance.  There will be at least one adult supervisor for every 7-10 children going on the trip.  We will have one beach day and one field trip each week.  We will be going to the circus, Knott's, Soak City, bowling, Boomers, skating, Wild Rivers and many other places. 

 

Fun Times On Campus

 

Arts & Crafts, Bible, Computer, recreation and cooking classes will be provided for each student. Special guests will bring fun and entertainment.  A calendar will be available in May.

 

Lunches

 

There will be special lunch days for the students.  Food will be brought in from various food providers.  See the calendar for these lunch days.  The cost of the lunch is $3.50.  All other days students must bring their lunch, drink and morning snack. 

 

Dress Code

 

Our main concern is that students look neat, clean and modest.  Torn pants, very short shorts, tank tops, or tops with slogans on them are not permitted.  Walking shorts are acceptable.  Tennis shoes should be worn daily. Beach type sandals should only be worn at the beach.  Walking shorts are acceptable.  No extreme haircuts are permitted.  Sagging  is not permitted.

Conduct

As a Christian school we expect all students to obey clearly stated rules and expectations.  These include respect for the individual, love of others, honesty, clean speech, tolerance of the right of opinions of others and respect for those in authority.  Since our Summer 2005 program has a more relaxed atmosphere than the regular school year, various actions of discipline may be taken.  Actions such as denial of certain privileges, being asked to leave the room, and denial of going on special field trips or excursions may be used as a means of discipline.  If a problem is so severe that the student will not cooperate after consultation with the teacher, parent and Summer Directors, the child may be asked to withdraw from our program. 

Sign-In & Sign-out Folder

 

All children are to be signed in every day and signed out when leaving.  This is for your child's safety.

Registration Procedure

Send completed Summer 2008 registration form along with the $75.00 registration fee  and week 1 tuition made payable to HCS. You must also complete the Emergency Form.    No more than 75 students will be admitted on any given day.  This will be on a first come sign-up basis.
