GRADING GUIDELINES AND STANDARDS
Grades are an integral part of any instructional program. At Huntington Christian grades are intended to give as accurate a picture as possible of how a student performs in the academic work, study and social areas. Huntington Christian does not grade on a curve. We do grade on a percentage basis. Kindergarten through 2nd grades use the markings O, S, N while 3rd through 8th use A, B, C, etc. The following is the percentage grade scale for Huntington Christian School.

REPORT CARDS, ON-LINE GRADES, & PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Report cards will be given out at the end of each quarter. The first report card will be given to the parent at the parent-teacher conference in November.
HONOR ROLL
Honor Roll is figured for grades 6 through 8. The main areas of consideration are: Language, History, Reading, Math and Science. The grades in these areas and their sub categories, if any, are added up using a grade point equivalent listed at the bottom of the page. The grade points are added together and divided by the number of categories included. The result is the student's grade point average (G.P.A.).
- Principal’s List recognizes a student with a G.P.A. of 4.0
- High Honor Roll recognizes a student with a 3.5 – 3.99 G.P.A.
- Honor Roll recognizes a student with a 3.0 – 3.49 G.P.A.
Students become ineligible to be on any of the Honor Rolls if they receive below an S in any non-core subjects (Bible, P.E., Computers, Spanish, or Electives) or if they have an N for any citizenship grade regardless of their G.P.A.
