Meeting in order to register a student for September 2009.

3.   TESTING:  Mrs. Marsh, director of the Early Childhood Development Center,  will test all incoming kindergarten students.  The Gesell Developmental Test will be used and each student must be recommended as ready for H.C.S. Kindergarten in order to be accepted or placed on the waiting list.  The testing fee is $35.  We do not accept any other assessment tests and no re-testing will be allowed.

4. PROGRAM: Besides chronological age, the importance of developmental age is emphasized.  Developmental age is measured by how closely the child’s social, emotional, physical and perceptual maturity correspond to the child’s chronological age.  A child’s chance for success in school depends largely on developmental readiness for school.
