TELEPHONE USE POLICY
STUDENT CELLULAR TELEPHONES
Students should not have a cell phone at school. However, we realize that some students need cell phones for before/after school communication with parents. If a student has a cell phone at school, it should be turned off during school hours (including recess and lunch time). Students are to never call or receive calls during school hours on their cell phone. If a student is using a cell phone during school hours, it will be taken away and the parent must get it from the school office. Students will always have access to the office phone if they are ill or there is an emergency. If a student chooses to bring a cell phone to school it is their responsibility. Any damage or loss is the responsibility of the student and not the school.
OFFICE TELEPHONES
- Students: Students may use the telephones on campus only if they have a teacher-issued phone pass. Our office is extremely busy and having students call for forgotten homework or to go to a friend's house causes confusion and ties up our office telephones. If there is illness or an emergency, our office staff will contact you.
- Calls to Teachers: The office will take messages for teachers during the school day. They will not be disturbed in their classroom.
