3-5 Chapel - This week the students who best exemplified self-control received their award. Congratulations to all of you!!!
Kurt began sharing with us about our new character quality-Tolerance. We need to sometimes put up with people, endure their behavior, love them inspite of their actions. In Jesus' day people who were considered "bad" were exactly who He would spend time with. After an encounter with Jesus they changed thier ways! Examples: Zacchaeus and the women at the well. In closing Kurt asked us to 1-not make unfair expectations of others and 2-love everyone!!
Next week we will continue with tolerance and talk about "Putting up with each other". Please join us if you can!! See you @ 8:55!!!
K-2 Chapel - Miss Cindy, from our FCC Treehouse, came over to share with us on our "Wacky Wednesday". Did you know that the Bible has a Dr. Seussy verse in it?? Proverbs 12:18 says, "There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health." Cindy told us a story about how words can be so bad they can make you sick, but good/nice words can make you feel better, even heal!!! We all need to be careful what we say and think before we speak.
Next week we have a very special chapel with our middle school drama elective. SPECIAL TIME TOO!!! 9:45 to 10:45!! If you are available please stop by!!!
NOTE: Rob Biagi's new CD, with a lot of great songs is available on line at www.robbiagi.com or www.thatrobguy.com.
